I’m freakishly organised when it comes to Christmas shopping (fact: I’ve already wrapped and delivered 2 presents) but as much as I enjoy buying gifts I admit I find it tricky, and therefore stressful, to track down the perfect presents for the men in my life.
To combat this good planning is essential and if you’ve read my blog for a while you’ll know I’m a big fan of lists! Here’s a round-up of some gifts I’ve got my eyes on – you can find all of these items at House of Fraser.
Life & style
Fragrance: never not appropriate, especially if you’re splashing out on a big bottle of his signature scent. If you’re not sure what he wears stick to a classic like Jean Paul Gaultier’s Le Male or Giorgio Armani’s Code Pour Homme.
Men’s formal shoes: let’s be honest ladies, we’re all clichés who love nothing more than a pretty shoe-shaped gift. Sneak a peek at his size and return the (*crosses fingers and hopes boyfriend reads this*) favour.
Toys & gadgets
Technology cases: his smartphone/tablet/laptop is probably his most-used possession so a gorgeous leather case will help him keep it safe and give it a personal, stylish edge.
Music accessories: Urbanears’ bright headphones are not only super-cute, the sound quality is fantastic (especially for just £50). They come in lots of colours too!
Indoor/Outdoor
Graphic prints: my man and I don’t have much anything in common when it comes to art but who doesn’t love graphic prints? Choose something that feels personal – I love this New York one because it’d remind us of a holiday we went on.
Winter knits: cheerful knitted accessories are the perfect way to brighten dull days (and keep him toasty when you drag him to the park to feed squirrels).
Gift vouchers
Sometimes seen as a lazy option but I don’t see the problem with giving gift cards – why not let someone choose their own present? It’s better than spending your hard-earned cash on something that might end up on eBay in the new year!
