My favourite AW12 shows from LFW

I can’t actually comprehend that we’re already in the middle of fashion month – doesn’t it seem like 2 minutes since the SS12 shows? As someone who couldn’t attend any of the events I was invited to (got the full-time job to thank for that!) I feel I was allowed to sulk a little bit but once I’d got over it I couldn’t wait until I had the time to settle down at my laptop with a big mug of tea to catch up.

Historically London was seen (by some) as the scruffy little sister of the fashion family – people even flew straight from New York to mainland Europe, forgoing it entirely. However with a new wave of cool, young designers housed and showing here (current fashion favourite Mary Katrantzou to name just one), London’s image and people’s perception of it is changing.

Here are my favourite shows from the past few days. Which did you love?

Mary Katrantzou AW12

Erdem AW12

Jonathan Saunders AW12

Peter Pilotto AW12

Marios Schwab AW12

Paul Smith AW12

Mulberry AW12

Matthew Williamson AW12

Vivienne Westwood AW12

Burberry AW12

Holly Fulton AW12

I’m not sure about that Mulberry fur skirt off the runway, but otherwise, everything here is just stunning! ;) You included so many of my favorites – Mary, Erden, Jonathan Saunders (did you ever see my interview with him? he’s adorable), Mulberry and Burberry Prorsum. Great round up, Becky!

I wish I lived in London and could’ve attended! I love almost all of these. I particularly love the silhouettes in Mary Karantzou’s collection. Stunning. Really intrigued by Holly Fulton, as well.

My favorite collections so far, personally, are Louise Gray, Meadham Kirchoff and Jeremy Scott. I’m really digging things that are all about color right now. Which ones did you like the best? All of these? Which would be your top 3?

How have you been, anyway? Hope things are going well with you, dear. Don’t work too hard!

Fabulous, fabulous post – I also had to work rather than attending, but it’s nice to see a roundup of all the best looks in one place! My favourite of all the collections was Marios Schwab – those hats & feminine silhouettes; very much to my taste!
Thanks for taking the time to put this together x

Great picks!! I love the designs form Mary Katrantzou, they are so special! Personally I also really like the Erdem designs and of course Burberry Prorsum. In my opinion Christopher Bailey can do no wrong anyway, but I’m not sooo sure if I love the emphasized hips… kind of unflattering if you are above size 0. ;)
