Another Thursday evening, another fun event! Last week saw the bloggers-only launch party for Nelly.com, Sweden’s premier fashion and beauty e-tailer (think their version of ASOS but bigger).
Nelly launches in the UK next month and we got to browse a few rails showing just a small peek at some of the 800 brands available on the site (including Nowhere, Chloé, Hugo Boss, Wonderbra, Twenty8Twelve) plus some of their own-brand clothing, shoes and beauty products.
I genuinely loved almost everything I saw and was impressed with the quality of Nelly’s own reasonably-priced Trend and White Label pieces – think £20-30 for tops, an average of £35 for dresses and around £70 for court shoes. The studded wedges went down very well with all of the bloggers I spoke to and as we were all allowed to select a pair of shoes (and an item of clothing!) as a gift I’m sure you’ll be seeing them on lots of blogs soon!
There were make up artists on hand, ‘design your own dress/shoes/swimwear’ workstations, lots of delicious canapes (I wish you could have tried the bacon-wrapped scallops) and the beautiful Sandra Hagelstam from 5 inch and up gave a little presentation about her collaborative work with Nelly, including sharing details about a new collection she’s designed for them (launching in August).
It was such a fun night and the end of the party came too soon, so Ree, Kylie, Kristabel and I headed to Bill’s in Covent Garden for more wine (and sensible food in Kristabel’s case). Let’s just say I didn’t get nearly as much packing done as I’d initially planned on Friday…
Thanks to Push PR for inviting me and Nelly.com for the party and the giftcard! I can’t wait for the site to launch – it’s sure to be my new addiction.
p.s. I hit 200 Bloglovin’ followers over the weekend (thank you millions!) so my promised giveaway is coming as soon as we get the internet up-and-running in the new flat! Stay tuned ;)
