Days off are the perfect opportunity to play at being a tourist in your hometown, especially when your hometown is London. The city can be crushingly busy at weekends but is a pleasure to explore mid-week – a fact I’ve been taking full advantage of as I’ve got lots of holiday to use by November!
Most recently we wandered around Knightsbridge and South Kensington, taking in Harrods, the V&A and (my personal favourite) the Natural History Museum. In my opinion a busy day requires sensible footwear, in this case my new Michael Kors kitten heels obtained with a voucher I received from the kind folks at Zalando.
After creating an impressive wishlist I spotted and ordered these, my dream shoes, but in my haste I stupidly chose an American size 6…3 sizes too small. I experienced substantial distress when size 9 sold out but some kind soul (LOLz) returned a pair and I pounced. Some things are just meant to be…kind of.
