If you’ve been to Barcelona – as it seems 99% of Europeans have – I don’t need to tell you it has it all: beaches, shopping, culture, good (cheap!) food, and history. (Plus the flight time from the UK is only around 2-hours and the city itself is mostly easy to navigate.)
On our first trip, we gawped at the cavernous and spectacular work-in-progress, Sagrada Família, got lost in Parc Güell and the Barri Gòtic (Gothic Quarter), took a midnight stroll down the beach, and of course I managed a sneaky visit to the shops, including the MANGO Outlet.
All that plus Chris suffered a huge allergic reaction so we managed to squeeze in the experience of travelling to A&E in an ambulance – an adventure that I admittedly didn’t appreciate at the time. (I have to say the emergency services were great.)
Barcelona – London, Paris, NYC and Dublin have made a little bit of room in my heart for you. See you again soon ;)
Thanks so much to MANGO for the most amazing of prizes!
