Batiste launch new Lace dry shampoo!

Batiste Lace party - The Mayfair House entrance decorated with balloonsIt’s no lie, I get invited to some pretty fun events. Last Wednesday night saw the launch party for Batiste dry shampoo’s pretty new Lace fragrance, with a party held at The Mayfair House in central London.

We were lucky, lucky ladies, as we were given the full pamper package. Firstly I had my hair done by Brooks+Brooks; with 6 gorgeous styles to choose from I was torn but my lovely stylist persuaded me to go for ‘glamorous volume‘. Let me tell you he was a hair wizard, using Batiste Lace to create texture and volume (it smelt pretty good too, without that overpowering tell-tale dry shampoo scent that some brands have).

Finally we had our makeovers documented with a professional photoshoot, at which the photographer performed a minor miracle by helping the most awkward ‘model’ in the world, me, to relax and even enjoy myself a little bit!

There were also sweet treats as far as the eye could see including the most delicious cupcakes with mini Batiste Lace cans on top (they were almost too cute to eat) and I sipped on pink champagne (through a straw so as not to ruin my lippie!).

Confession: I also picked up a bag of pick ‘n’ mix to have for ‘dinner’ that night – shameful I know!

Thanks so much to Batiste for inviting me, I had lots of fun!

Happy weekend everyone, enjoy the sunshine (who knows how long it’ll last)!

I always use dry shampoo! it’s great for those in between days isn’t it? I find it helps when putting my hair up too, gives it a bit more texture. I usually get Fudge or Tigi from Hairtrade as that is the cheapest place you can get it at the moment x
