I love and loathe Sundays in equal measure. Think of Sunday and I’m sure you’ll think lazy lie-ins, naughty/nice brunches, strolls or bike rides around town…but in that back of your mind is that horrible realisation that it’s back to work/uni/college/school tomorrow.
In my opinion a laid-back day calls for casual dressing, especially as Chris and I usually spend our Sundays wandering around London exploring new cafés, new shops, or even whole new areas.
Yesterday was fairly mild – spring is coming, woop! – so I happily slipped on my new ballerinas to wear with these cropped cigarette trousers I was sent by Wallis last week. Neutral-coloured bottoms are something my wardrobe has been lacking and I have no idea why as it’s such an easy colour to build an outfit around. I can’t stress how comfortable these are, even after a cheeky 2-course lunch and a 3-course dinner! Definitely a spring wardrobe staple!
I was also able to ditch my wool coat in favour of this quilted jacket I picked up from M&S in November and have barely had the chance to wear since as it’s been so cold. It’s my first quilted jacket but I can’t imagine life without it now: it’s pretty much perfect as it’s so lightweight but keeps me so warm.
What do you wear for your weekend adventures?
