Festive fashion challenge!

Lacy LBD, red lips and wavy hair

So, my last post was all about finding a key piece for £100, today is all about my challenge to find a complete Christmas party outfit for £100! I must admit I was quietly confident when I was asked to take part; I consider myself a smart shopper as I use vouchers/discount codes and price comparison/cashback sites whenever I can. Plus, in my opinion, we have to make the most of the unending sales that are the one benefit of the recession… ;)

It might be predictable but knew just what I wanted to buy – nothing says party like a little black dress! I’m still only buying ‘quality’ pieces and obviously wanted to minimise the risk of a same-dress situation so budget shops and the usual suspects (Topshop/Zara/River Island/etc.) were out. After some unsuccessful online buys I found this Zalando dress, which I just love. (FYI Zalando are currently offering £5 off £50 spends with the code ‘5zalandois‘, valid on full-price items only.)

Kurt Geiger is my favourite footwear retailer so they were my immediate choice for a pair of heels – they often have voucher codes/promotions too. I couldn’t get these shoes in my basket fast enough when I saw they were reduced by 70% (I also have them in blue, as seen here)! The clutch was another sale bargain, from ASOS, and adds just the right pop of colour alongside my bright red nails and lips. So, what do you think? What will you be wearing for your Christmas party?

For my complete outfit, and to see how the other bloggers taking part spent their £100, head over to the MoneySupermarket Fashion page!

* ASOS clutch = £7 (reduced from £18)

= £96.05 (all items c/o MoneySupermarket)

    That dress is gorgeous :) I am also one of these people who loves a good discount/bargain! I use Quidco rather than TCB. I always check http://www.hotukdeals.com for discount codes too :) x

    What a gorgeous outfit! I’m now having to stop myself from buying those shoes, £29 is such a bargain for a pair of KG shoes plus I like the fact that the heel is not humongous, I think I could happily walk in them for a few hours. Love the back of that Zalando dress, it definitely is a statement/key piece! xo
