I’ve mentioned before that I adore autumn/winter dressing: what’s not to love about super-soft knits, layering and fun accessories? While the usual autumnal hues of classic dark and berry tones are all well and good, there’s nothing like a splash of colour to brighten up a drab winters day. Enter, Joules AW12.
The British brand started life when countryside outfitter Tom Joule realised that just because outdoor clothing had to be practical didn’t mean it had to be boring, so he made (and quickly sold out of) 100 pairs of pink wellies - just like the gorgeously glossy pair above.
To this day Joules is all about cheering up everyday clothes with a bright palette and cute prints. My favourite piece from this new collection is probably the horse-print shirt, which I’d team with this denim skirt. It’s no secret that I love a stripe so I was also immediately drawn to the Alexi tunic and Paulette jersey top, either of which would be perfect for the office or a toasty day spent huddled in front of the tv with a hot chocolate and a girly boxset. Which pieces do you like best?
You can buy Joules clothing at Topshop, John Lewis, and of course from their own stores and website.
