I had quite the fun day on Thursday: after the launch of the Pistol Panties pop-up at Selfridges in the a.m. I headed into work for a few hours before popping to Zatchels’ first ever press event in the evening.
Zatchels are currently celebrating their first birthday and what a year it’s been for them. In all honesty I didn’t realise they were only 1 until their lovely PR lady Cristie told me at this event – this is a brand that’s exploded in recent months and they’re now stocked by several high-profile British retailers.
All of Zatchels’ bags are made in the UK, something the creators Dean and Brian are rightly proud of, and the quality of the leather means these are bags that (with the correct care) will last a lifetime.
There’s a huge range of designs in a variety of shapes and sizes so there really is something for everyone. Prices range from £40 for a plain barrel bag to £195 for the largest executive satchel. At under £200 for the most expensive bag I really think they’re fantastic value for money.
Each item can also be tailored to suit you – add a top-handle for just £5 or add/remove the card holder on the front pocket. I asked Cristie about other personalisation options and she told me that they’re looking into the possibility of customers being able to have their own images printed onto the bags (this is currently still in development as they want to ensure the printing is of the best quality!).
You can buy Zatchels via their own website or from retailers such as Liberty London and John Lewis.
Thanks so much to Zatchels for having me and for gifting me a beautiful polka dot barrel bag!
Do you own a Zatchels satchel? Which of these is your favourite?
