Apparently I’ve not blogged about Westfield Stratford City yet (the reason escapes me as it’s pretty awesome) but when you’re feeling the effects of moving house and they kindly offer you a £50 gift card to spend in the sales you say “YES PLEASE” and sprint to the tube station.
You should know that I take sale shopping seriously and I have firm rules: I only buy things I know I’ll wear and that work with my current wardrobe, and I’d much rather take home 1/2 quality pieces than bags and bags of rubbish. Also, I think it’s really important to only buy things that fit properly – we’ve all succumbed to ‘bargains’ that don’t see the light of day again until you’re making a pile destined for the local charity shop/eBay.
I drooled over this spotted shirt dress for months so I had to have it when I saw it was reduced by 70%: with it’s polka dot print and buttoned-up collar it’s pretty much my dream dress. This vintage-style cameo necklace (another 70%-off bargain) takes me just under budget and is so classic I’ll be able to wear it season-after-season. I was hoping to be able to show you my buys in a proper outfit post but the weather won’t cooperate so keep your eyes peeled for that soon! What did you buy in the sales?

What I bought:
Boutique by Jaeger dress = £160 £45
Accessorize cameo necklace = £12 £3.60
